GENuS is a consortium of three housing associations based in South East Wales who have come together to bring efficiencies to their maintenance and new home building programs. Melin Homes, Newport Housing Trust and Seren Group have a great deal of experience of working together and GENuS builds on these successful relationships.

Working as a consortium means that the three partners will retain their independence and continue to provide a wide range of housing services to their own customers. However, by collaborating they will improve quality and efficiency which will be of benefit to all service users.

The GENuS partners share a belief that local development and management of affordable homes is the best way of meeting the needs of communities. The consortium has developed very good working relationships with Torfaen, Monmouth, Newport, Powys, Caerphilly and Blaenau Gwent local authorities and will continue to work closely with them and local suppliers, contractors and consultants to develop and maintain homes in a way which benefits local communities.
